The Non-Financial Data (NFD) feature in Joiin is a powerful tool for capturing, consolidating, and reporting on key business metrics alongside your financial data.
This enables you to create comprehensive reports that combine financial performance with operational KPIs, providing a complete picture of your organisation's performance.
You'll first need to input it into Joiin. After that, you'll follow a few simple steps to create a new widget that displays this information on your Dashboard or Saved Reports.
Adding Non-Financial Data
1. Click the Settings cog in the top-right corner of the Joiin interface.
2. Navigate to the Non-Financial Data page.
3. You can either upload a CSV file via our templates, choose a pre-defined template or start adding new accounts manually.
4. Once created, click on the new account and enter the relevant data and save. For example, enter the number of sales representatives.
How to create a Non-Financial KPI
We recommend creating a single report that houses all your KPIs, allowing you to access your entire KPI library in one place.
1. Run your desired Report from the left side toolbar (we recommend using the combined reports)
2. Select the Report Layouts box in the top left corner
3. Either select Create from built in or Edit to make changes to the layout
4. Create a New Formula and name it after your KPI.
5. Use the search function to find your NFD metric and include it in your formula.
6. Save your new layout.
How to Add NFD to your Dashboard
1. Go to the Dashboard page via the left side toolbar
2. Click Create New Widget in the top-right corner
Select Custom KPI from the list of widget types.
Choose Built-in KPI as the data source if you want to add non-financial data directly, or select your Custom layout if you wish to add a custom metric
In the "Select KPIs for chart" box, add the non-financial accounts you just created or add your formula.
Choose from the available widget types, amend your display options and click Save.
The non-financial data will now appear on your dashboard.
