I am being asked same question from my CEO - I have managed to create deparment cost centre reports in Joiin, but when drilling into transactional detail on a cost code, all departments costs are extracted
Thanks for flagging this, William — and good to hear from you too, Dave.
You're right that the category filter doesn't currently carry through when drilling into transaction detail. It's a known limitation and one we hear fairly regularly, so it's already on our roadmap.
I'll keep this thread updated as we make progress and will reach out to you both directly when there's news.
Harry :)
This is something that would be a huge value-add for us - it's quite time consuming and tedious when we drill down, to then add the extra tracking category columns and sort by them so that we can see which transactions relate to the category we were looking at in the main report.

Hi Joiin team
I’m able to create a nice view for each department using the compare by category / class / location filters. However, when, for example, the Sales department drills down into their transaction details, the filter is removed and transactions for all departments appear. It would be great if the view filter remained applied when viewing transaction details
