It may be the case that you need to post an adjustment at the group level for consolidation purposes, this can be done within Joiin. 


To do so, you will need to create a manual adjustment company. It may be the case that you do not have the option to add additional companies to your current plan, if this is the case please email support@joiin.co and we will increase your limit to provide this company free of charge.


To create your adjustment company:


1. Click on the Companies on the lefthand toolbar.


2. Click on the Add Company button and select Add Manually.


3. Enter the company details in the top box. 



4. Choose whether you want to add your adjustment data in Trial Balance or BS/P&L format.



5. Press Add account.


6. Choose Create new and fill in the details for this account - the account type will decide where the account is placed.



7. Then enter the amount you need to adjust your group of companies by.




8. Now you will have the option to include this company on your reports.

 


If you run a consolidated report that includes the manual adjustment company, this adjustment will be applied to your figures on that report. 


However, if you run the report broken down by company, you will be able to see these adjustments in a separate column.
